Biography
Marcelo Martinez (Rio de Janeiro, 1971) is a multidisciplinary author. He works as a graphic artist, cartoonist, TV writer, author of children’s books and art director. He signed graphic projects that won some of the biggest awards in the Brazilian market, wrote for shows nominated for an International Emmy Awards, had his work registered in dozens of international design publications and exhibited in more than 20 countries.
His personal work is also multiple: combining old processes of mass-print reproduction, weathered textures, retro and contemporary elements, the artist stylizes and re-signifies forms that result in visually striking graphics with a touch of humor.
Football and popular culture are subjects of particular interest to him, manifested in this collection.
