S2BT Soulbound Button Token

NFT with rights to receive a real pin button directly from a V8art representative portraying that a meeting between the purchaser and the seller occured on NFT Rio 2022 event.

Inspired by the recent proposal of Soulbound Tokens (SBT), meaning personal and untransferable digital assets that represents achievements and remarkable moments in someone’s life, we created this NFT button linked to a real physical button hand delivered directly to the purchaser present at NFT Rio, event to be held from June 30 to July 3rd, 2022, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The NFT button intends to be a proof of meeting and soulbound (professionally of course) between the digital asset owner and V8art’s staff. The gallery’s idea is using the S2BT format, starting in the NFT Rio event, until the SBT token standard arrives.

The original Soulbound Token was proposed by Vitalik Buterin in an academic paper – Decentralized Society: Finding Web3’s Soul – signed together with researchers E. Glen Weyl and Puja Ohlhaver. Previously the Ethereum creator explained the issue in a post on his own blog: Soulbound.

Otherwise our Soulbound Button Token, which real buttons can be picked up personally at the NFT Rio event, are numbered and unique, both the physical items and the digital assets related to them.
